Drew McCauley

Managing Director

Drew McCauley is a Managing Director at Tree Line Capital Partners having joined the firm at inception in 2014. Drew is responsible for leading the portfolio risk management activities of the firm and is active across investment underwriting, portfolio management, and investor relations.

Drew has been an actively involved in private credit investing since 2012 having underwritten and managed over $10 billion in privately placed fixed income, senior loan, mezzanine, and equity products across a broad set of industries and geographies. Having gained a strong background in fundamental credit analysis while managing a diverse portfolio of performing and distressed assets at Prudential, Drew joined the founding team at Tree Line with the goal of bringing the rigorous investment underwriting and management techniques of a large institutional investor to a strategy focused on partnering with entrepreneurially minded lower middle market business owners. Drew is active in the daily portfolio management and underwriting activities of the firm, overseeing the asset management function and developing portfolio management strategies aimed at balancing risk exposure across the funds managed by Tree Line. He spends his time working across deal teams with the owners and managers of the firm’s borrowers to monitor ongoing performance and assess the outlook for each of Tree Line’s portfolio investments.
